In the summer these are water fountains. The round area at the top is a light for the evening. The red area is the drain pan. I think these are supposed to be like the bow of ships passing on the river in the background. This is on the border with Canada (the far bank of the river is Canada)
Although it looks warm in the picture, it was about 40 degrees out and a short time after this we had a snow shower! We had a great lunch in the pie shop and watched the big freighters run on the river going to Lake Huron or Lake Erie.

Today we went to a local Apple Orchard to pick apples and get a pumkin. It was a great day cool crisp morning, perfect for this kind of outing.

There was some neat old equipment that looked like it had been there a while!

Recently when traveling, I got to stop back in at Andy Nelson’s BBQ. I have always enjoyed eating there… the smoke comes through in the meat, but it’s not to much. If you are ever in the northern Baltimore County area on I-83, I would highly recommend the stop.

Andy Nelson's from the back side at Christmas time.

We are going to have a dutch oven roast tonight. I browned the meat then tossed in some garlic and onions and let them brown up. Then added some beef bouillon cubes and two cups of water.
I’ve moved it all over to the coals and now just need to wait a couple of hours.
